The 1 Line is Sound Transit's primary light rail line, running north-south from Lynnwood City Center through downtown Seattle to Federal Way Downtown. It's the backbone of Seattle's rail transit system, connecting major employment centers, the airport, and dozens of neighborhoods.
Trains run every 8 minutes during peak hours and every 10-15 minutes during off-peak times and weekends. Service starts around 5:00 AM (6:00 AM on Sundays) and runs until approximately midnight.
There are a few ways to check when the next 1 Line train is coming. Transit apps like OneBusAway and Google Maps show real-time arrivals. Sound Transit's website and station signs also display live times. For daily commuters, a dedicated display like NextStop shows 1 Line arrival times on your desk or counter — always on, no phone required.
