Get your NextStop monitor up and running in just a few simple steps.
Note: To optimize power usage, the device uses a capacitive touch screen that may require a bit more pressure than a typical smartphone. We have included a stylus pen in the box for ease of use.
Remove your NextStop monitor from the box and connect it to power using the included USB-C cable. The NextStop monitor will automatically power on.
Tip: Use a USB-C power adapter (5V, 1A minimum) or connect to a USB port on your computer.
You can connect your NextStop monitor to the internet using one of two methods:
NextStopWifi. A setup page should appear automatically.Note: If the mobile setup page does not appear, open your browser and navigate to 192.168.4.1.
Once connected, select your local timezone and indicate whether it is currently Daylight Savings Time to ensure your transit arrival countdowns are accurate.
Navigate through available cities (currently Seattle) and click on a route to see all available stations.
Once setup is complete, you will land on your first selected station. Use gestures to navigate:
Switch stations
Swipe left or right
Open settings
Swipe up
Place your NextStop monitor on your desk in a convenient location, or mount it on the wall. Your transit information will now update in real-time.
Pro Tip: If the scrolling text for long station titles is distracting, you can disable "Title scrolling" in the settings menu.
The NextStop Mini can be used in two ways: on your desk with the included stand, or mounted on a wall.
Simply place the device on your desk using the included stand. The stand is already attached and ready to use out of the box.
To mount on a wall, remove the stand by unscrewing the 2 screws on the back of the device. Once removed, the case has a flat back and is thinner, making it perfect for wall mounting with temporary adhesive strips (like Command Strips).
Note: The case is designed to come off easily when needed, so you can switch between desk and wall mounting as desired. Simply reattach the stand by screwing it back on when you want to use desk mode again.
Unplug the USB-C power cable, wait three seconds, and plug it back in. This will perform a hard reboot and resolve most software issues.
Swipe up to access the Settings menu. From there, you can reset your Wi-Fi credentials or reconfigure your stations.
Note: Entering the station selection menu will reset your current list of selected stations.
